SENIOR SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP: A CHARTER TRADITION
Attention seniors: There will be the traditional Charter senior ski/snowboard trip taking place again this year during Spring Break. We will be going to Park City, Utah, the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics. In years past, the typical price of this trip is around $1200 which includes airfare, 6 nights in a hotel, transportation to and from the slopes, 5 days worth of lift tickets, and breakfast and dinner each day. The more seniors that sign up, the more the price of this trip goes down, so start saving today! There will be an informational meeting next Wednesday at 11:30 in Mrs. Harmon's room (VAPA 118). Please sign up in senior seminar or with Mrs. Harmon if you are interested in attending this meeting. If you do not know how to ski or snowboard- no problem! RECYCLING
A HUGE thank you to all students!!!!! You are doing a great job of recycling. Our bins are overflowing today and I've had to schedule a pick up for today. Unfortunately it will not be until after 2 o'clock. Please do not overflow the bins or throw recyclables in the garbage if there is no room. Just dump it into a garbage back, tie it up, and leave it by the recycling bins. This way it will not end up all over the ground. Don't forget, all aluminum, plastic, glass and steel can go into the bins marked "COMMINGLED". Newspaper, magazines, office paper, construction paper, and shredded paper can go in the "MIXED PAPER" bins and we have a separate blue bin on the VAPA campus for pizza boxes and all cardboard goes there. It is a small blue dumpster located on the left of the large blue garbage dumpster. Again, thank you so much for helping our campus be the greenest in the county!

Please register with Ms. Holzman by next week; the deadline to register is September 17th – don’t delay. The cost of the test is $13. Tenth graders can also take the test if they wish; however, we will be administering the PLAN test to the entire tenth grade class for free this fall. The PLAN test is a preliminary ACT test.
