Attention 9th and 10th-grade students: Please remember to report to your designated testing location by 8:30 AM on Wednesday, August 19th, for the Fast Reading PM1 progress monitoring test. It is essential that you bring your fully charged Chromebook and confirm your room number via student email or your homebase teacher. We wish you all the best of luck!

Dear Upperclassmen,
We are excited to announce a special learning experience for our 11th and 12th-grade students. To support our Interdisciplinary Thematic Curriculum unit on Modernism, we have rented out the AMC Indian River theater for an exclusive private screening of Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed film, Dunkirk.
Event Details & Schedule:
Location: AMC Indian River (6200 20th Street)
Arrival: 9:00 AM (Aug 19th). Attendance is mandatory.
Movie Time: Begins after 9:00 AM, ends at 12:00 PM.
Snacks: Complimentary popcorn & drinks from PAC!
Afternoon: Lunch (12:00 - 12:45 PM), then return for 6th period.
Supervision: Admin, teachers, & deputy on site.
Transportation:
Parents may drop off directly at AMC, or students who drive can park at the theater.
A school shuttle will run between AMC and IRCHS for return transportation.
Campus Context:
While 11th/12th graders are at the theater, campus is reserved for 9th/10th FAST testing until 12:00 PM
Movie: Dunkirk
Set during World War II, Dunkirk depicts the perilous 1940 evacuation of Allied soldiers trapped on the beaches of France. Through its powerful portrayal of survival, human resilience, and modern history, the film offers our students a vivid, immersive entry point into our study of Modernism. The film is rated PG-13, however, if parents decide that the content is too intense, we will accept absence notes for an administrative code (Q) in FOCUS.
