Recently, the Florida Commissioner of Education, Richard Corcoran, issued Florida Department of Education Order No. 2020-EO-07, which requires that all schools in the State submit a 'Spring 2021 Education Plan'.
Below is a summary:
Staying the same:
When the school year began, IRCHS implemented innovative learning and a modified schedule, to accommodate families that wanted to learn through the hybrid option or completely online. That system will continue. We will continue to have virtual days on Wednesdays. We will continue to require that students wear masks on campus, and teachers will perform temperature checks in the morning.
Students who do not achieve grade-level mastery based on an upcoming iReady assessment, or who fail classes, or who do not adhere to the IRCHS attendance policy, will be enrolled in remedial classes. These students will be offered additional support in three different tiers. Details are contained within the plan.
