Indian River Charter High School is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students and to issue Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Form I-20 to qualified students wishing to study in the United States under an F-1 VISA.  International students must comply with all federal regulations before an I-20 can be issued, such requirements include, but are not limited to: demonstration of English proficiency, proof of financial resources, and meet all the admission requirements for Indian River Charter High School.

Indian River Charter High School is an “A” Rated, US public charter high school. Located on the “Treasure Coast” of the eastern Atlantic shore in Florida, Indian River Charter places special emphasis on visual and performing arts. The school is happy to give international students the chance to experience American life in complete immersion with host families.

Thank you for your interest in Indian River Charter High School. Provided below is a checklist of the items needed for your student’s application to be considered for admission.
 
  • Complete the Application.
  • Please remit Original Language Transcripts through their current year of study. Additionally, for all transcripts submitted, please remit an official copy translated into English.
  • Submit scores for any tests of English proficiency taken, such as the TOEFL, ELTIS, and/or SLEP.
  • Please remit a copy of your passport.
  • Please confirm that the email address you provide will receive emails from the United States.

Facilities
The Indian River campus has a number of great facilities including state-of-the-art facilities such as the Black Box Theater and performance venue “The Dome.” The school also has ChromeBook laptops for every classroom and high-functioning MacBook laptops available for the Visual and Performing Arts program.

Sports and Arts
Although Charter has a strong focus in the arts, we also have the chance to play some sports. The outstanding golf program focuses on developing skills, etiquette, golf history and the golf industry. Indian River Charter High School provides a wonderful opportunity for young adults to excel in the fine arts. Programs offered in the art and performance areas include creative writing, dance, drama, music-vocal, music-instrumental, and visual arts.

Awards Accomplishments
The school is accredited by the AdvancedED review as an “A” School. The school has also been awarded a School of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education and the Highest Ranking High School on the Treasure Coast. Additionally, the school has College Board and AP Capstone School certifications.

Community Information
As a city located along Florida’s Atlantic Coast, Vero Beach is a haven for golf, water sports and fishing. Beaches, museums, nature tours and a range of hotels make Vero Beach a terrific vacation destination. The city also offers a fine selection of shops and cuisine for all budgets. For those looking to delve into the art scene, Vero Beach also has some fantastic museums and art galleries.
