Indian River Charter High School

 

History

Indian River Charter High School (IRCHS) was founded in 1998 as a small, public, non-traditional high school, with an emphasis on character development, academic achievement, career preparation, and cultural awareness.

With an enrollment limited to approx. 770, the school operates under the auspices of a private non-profit organization and is guided by a community Board of Directors.

Situated next to Indian River State College Mueller Campus, students are encouraged to participate in dual enrollment. IRCHS is currently rated a "B" school.

Indian River Charter High School operates under Charter from the Indian River County School District. IRCHS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization & public Charter School.

Our Mission

The mission of the Indian River Charter High School is to give its students the opportunity to develop a new set of competencies and foundational skills that will help them enjoy a productive, full, and satisfying life. This school will be a high performance organization. 

Our Vision

The goal of Indian River Charter High School is to give its students in grades 9-12 individualized opportunities to realize their potential in an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, wholistic, and emphasizes responsibility.
