The Mission of the Indian River Charter High School Dance Program is to provide enriching and transformative experiences for dancers of all levels within our school community. Our program offers a diverse range of dance styles and techniques, ensuring that every student, from beginners to advanced performers, can develop their skills and express their creativity. Through rigorous training, collaborative projects, and performance opportunities, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for dance and encourage personal growth, discipline, and artistic excellence. By embracing the unique talents and aspirations of each dancer, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Our current course offerings are designed to cater to dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced performers. These courses include:

  • Ballet (Multiple Levels): Our ballet classes provide comprehensive training in classical ballet techniques, with multiple levels to accommodate students at different stages of their dance journey. Each level focuses on developing strength, flexibility, precision, and artistry.

  • Dance Kinesiology (Multiple Levels): These classes delve into the scientific study of human movement as it pertains to dance. Students will learn about anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention, allowing them to understand their bodies better and enhance their performance and longevity in dance.

With multiple levels available, students can progress at their own pace and explore different genres of dance, improving their overall technique and versatility.
